AC Milan is a professional football (soccer) club based in Milan, Italy. It is one of the most successful clubs in Italian and European football history. The club was founded in 1899 and has since achieved numerous domestic and international honors.

AC Milan is known for its iconic red and black striped jerseys, which have earned them the nickname "Rossoneri" (Red and Blacks). The club's home stadium is the San Siro, officially known as the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, which they share with their city rivals, Inter Milan.

Throughout its history, AC Milan has won numerous Serie A titles, Coppa Italia titles, and Supercoppa Italiana titles. They have also had significant success in European competitions, winning the UEFA Champions League/ European Cup on multiple occasions. AC Milan has won the Champions League seven times, which is the second-highest number of wins in the competition's history.

Some of the greatest players to have represented AC Milan include Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi, Marco van Basten, Ruud Gullit, Andriy Shevchenko, Kaka, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The club has had several successful periods, most notably during the 1980s and early 2000s when they were dominant both domestically and in Europe.

However, in recent years, AC Milan has faced challenges and has been rebuilding its squad to regain its former glory. Under the ownership of Elliott Management Corporation, the club has focused on developing young talents and has shown signs of progress in returning to the top of Italian and European football.
